Discover a land older than Stonehenge and The Pyramids as you explore the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Newgrange. Dating back some 5,000 years, Newgrange is an iconic Neolithic monument in the heart of Meath’s Boyne Valley. The jewel in Ireland’s Ancient East crown, Newgrange is a passage tomb located near two other passage tombs, Knowth and Dowth.
This trio of monuments are known as Brú na Bóinne, and are one of the most popular visitor attractions in Ireland. A trip along Ireland’s Ancient Coast would not be complete without spending time to get to know the history of this famous Neolithic site. With a limited number of tours in a day, it’s advisable to book early to get out and explore the main passage tomb at Newgrange.
